One of the reasons we wanted to visit Hanoi was for Halong Bay, which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Basically it is filled with thousands of limestone island topped by rainforest. And the only way to go there is by hopping onto a cruise ~
So here our journey begins....
We were really in a huge dilemma as there are just SO MANY types of cruises to choose from. Luckily, we seek help from the hotel we stayed in Hanoi and the person gave us a few choices to pick from. After doing our own researches, we finally decided on getting a 2D1N A-Class Stellar Cruise.
As the entire Halong Bay journey was booked by our hotel, mini bus was arranged to pick us up from our hotel at 8am in the morning which sent us to the Jetty. It took us about a good 4 hours ride to finally reach the jetty.
We boarded the cruise at around 12pm and were welcome by the cruise manager, Alex.
And we checked into our beautiful room...
I was really satisfied with the cruise and it's rooms as it's really one of the newest around the vicinity. There were plenty of other cruises which look really old to me.
WHICH COMES WITH A BALCONY!!! (it was a free upgrade for us so we are really lucky!)
The washroom even comes with a bathtub. I guess we probably got the largest room on the entire cruise.
Simply basking in the sun, which was pretty good as the weather was at 16-17 degrees celcius, which can be really cold as the wind blow upon us.
Then we were bought to this on-water village which allows us to kayak! Super fun kayaking in the cooling weather, it's my first kayaking in long sleeves. And I actually scooped (?) up a fish while kayaking and it hit the bf's face!!! HAHAHAHA and the fish ended up inside our boat (just behind my butt!!) which scared the hell out of us, I was so afraid of capsizing the entire boat coz he is scared of fishes too and we were fidgeting like mad. I ended up doing the job of scooping the fish back in the waters.

2nd day morning, we did not wake up for the 6am taichi because we were just too tired hahaha
After breakfast, one of the itenary was to visit one of the caves.
Weather wasn't too cold cause I was still in my PJs with shorts.
When we have to make our way up the top of the cave and I was in my slippers and I was so afraid I would accidentally slip off a rock and fall to death. Just when I thought this was dangerous enough... (i haven't seen Sa Pa trekking gosh)
