On our last day in Bangkok, we decided to do some cafe hopping around Thong Lor Soi 13. We navigated ourselves by our GPS with our unlimited (7days) AIS sim card, all the way from Thong Lor BTS.
Walking under the sweltering hot sun... and we were sad to know that we were only at Soi 5, which means 8 more streets of walking to do.
After getting lost for a good 15-20 minutes,we finally found The Commons.
Roast, locating at the top level of The Commons.
Yay! Can't wait to jump into the air-conditioned cafe after a loooong walk. Fyi, the entire mall was non-air conditioned.
What we ordered:
- Lunch Set meal which consists of Alfredo Pasta topped with black truffle, a drink and a salad.
(320 baht)
- Iced Espresso Latte (120 baht)
- Add on hand-cut fries (120 baht)
Iced espresso latte which comes in espresso ice cubes and a glass bottle of milk. So innovative and thoughtful of them to come out with this idea. It prevents the latte from getting diluted while the ice melts. I guess this is essentially important as we would always get carried away with our conversations when we were in a cafe with our friends.
Alfredo pasta which is so worth every inch of my calories intake!! It has a good amount of truffle scented smell (or taste?) spread out equally among each and every single bite of the pasta. Yummy!
Both of us were stuffed just with sharing a set meal. Our way of saving monies and not getting ourselves too bloated as we would ALWAYS over order when we were too hungry.
